The Show
Not quite zombified

The Zombcast quickly became the most successful show on The hhwst.net Radio Network, both on iTunes and Stickam. Matthew and Nicholas from Robots and Racecars joined Kev to chat about The Walking Dead on AMC (and of course the comic book). Their unique outlook on the show brought a new spin to how the show was viewed.

After some controversy, The Zombcast reformatted briefly before slowly coming to an end. Some hearts were broken and enemies were made, but The Zombcast will continue on as a blog and who knows? Maybe the podcast will rise from the grave.

We were late to coming into the game when it came to podcasting about The Walking Dead, but it was a lot of fun. Listening to Matthew and Nicholas argue and having intriguing conversations about wildly outrageous scenarios in Robert Kirkman’s world were just some of the highlights. We found our stride just weeks before the whole “AMC” thing. There’s no need for me to go into what happened here; as it’s my view point, not the shows.

This is a small, dopey, blogging / podcasting network… but this show gave me validation. Prior to the end of the show, we had several weeks of 10k plus views a week and plenty of conversation. I’m not sure if The Zombcast will ever be a pod again, or if I will ever co-host it again, but no matter what happens; it, and not just the show… the whole experience with the show, including my awesome co-hosts Matthew and Nicholas, will be a happy memory of some minute success.
